Come Together for Haiti @ Bar 13

Benefit for Haiti Nurses Foundation

Hello everyone,
Many of us were touched and saddened by the recent earthquake in Haiti. I grew up with many Haitian friends and also friends who have dedicated their lives to helping the people of Haiti. Two of whom are the reason I love electronic music so much. Sadly these 2 are no longer with us. It is in their memory that i wish to help Haiti in anyway i can. I figured this is a good start.
So some of you may know Colleen Ward Mujica. She is also a dear friend who has spent her life helping the people of Haiti. I contacted her and asked what is a charity that we could help that would make a difference now. There is a nursing school called Haiti Nurses Foundation which is at the epicenter of the quake in Leogane. When it hit, no one knew if the nurses were alive because the facility was smashed to the ground. It turns out they survived and the student nurses immediately started caring for over 5,000 people before any aid arrived to them. Their supplies are so extremely limited, they were splinting limbs with cardboard. This school is in extremely high demand and is making a difference as we speak.

So this Sunday lets get together and try to make a difference. 100% of door money will go to this charity. -Andrew Vogt
