You have to give it to American Apparel for bringing quality along with slightly exaggerated prices to some devilishly stylish pieces. It seems some of us here at Lesheshi are convinced the Devil was in mind when AA whipped up the Disco Pant. This fart busting’, form fitting pair is one you will likely have in mind during your next visit to AA. Why you ask? Because it’s exactly like the pair Olivia Newton John wore when as a bad ass bitch in Grease and I mean really need I say more? Because we have plenty to share after being unable to restrain ourselves so without further a due, here is you will need to know about these puppies.
1-They cost $90.00
2-Material is incredible
3-Runs small, size up if your Assy and Curvy
4-Ridiculously slimming, no need to suck it all in.
5-Will pay for drinks themselves
6-Back pockets are sky high, so you end up with a bit of mom butt if you don’t wear the right top
7-Are a pain in the ass to get on, seriously skinny leg and ankle is unforgiving to a large footed gal
8-Not for the gal who doesn’t like to wear a thong or g-string
So what’s the verdict? These pants are fucking HOT! Will haunt your dreams and you will never look at your favorite pair of skinnies in the same way again…

The American Apparel Disco Pant is a superb reproduction of an iconic club wear staple of the 70’s thru 80’s. The jean cut pants are made from a rarely found heavy weight spandex (about 5X heavier than leggings) that is very forgiving of small to moderate body detriments; the woven fabric has a smoothing- slimming effect for many producing a super figure. The woven spandex breathes so they are cooler than leather of PVC. It has both some stretch and "give" making them much more comfortable than restrictive leather, faux leather (pleather) or even PVC jeans. Plus they are washable. These jean style pants have an excellent shine that turns up the “Wow Power” of a woman’s figure and gives you a variety of levels of : Festive, Sophisticated or Edgy Looks. (For a maximum mesmerizing effect on men, you’re best bet is to pair with heels or boots and for a high power edgy look pair with higher boots knee high, over the knee and/or your highest heels, men will walk across a crowded club and babble silly lines just to talk to you.
Shiny and club wear go hand in hand here.
More history: the American Apparel Disco Pant is a faithful reproduction of the "Shiny Spandex Disco Jeans" with the two pockets on the back. In the past some of the original jeans were available with belt loops, however these don't have them. The Shiny Spandex Disco Jeans were introduced in the late 1970's as the disco club wear staple. In the 80's we saw the New Wave of Heavy Metal take to these as both club wear and stage wear. There were many brands but 3 of the most famous were Fredrick’s of Hollywood, Jou Jou and Le Gambi. These jeans come up in films and TV of the time as disco club wear, biker chique or as the urban bad girl look. Fans of these jeans have posted a number of clips on you tube featuring luminaries such as Olivia Newton John as Sandy in Grease, Farah Fawcett and Cheryl Ladd as Charlie’s Angels in them.
Back in the 80's these were about $40 with an MSRP of about $78 they are not super expensive when you consider inflation of 20 plus years. I believe these are made in the USA too which adds to their value for many. If you go on line you can find coupons to save 10-15 even 20%
You can exercise your constitutional right to display your wow power so get a pair or two for clubbing, that Vegas trip or just making the guys drool when shopping.
